School Council

The School Council representatives at Canterbury Cathedral

Our school councillors act as representatives for each of the classes within our school. They give our pupils a voice by taking part in key decisions.

Our School Councillors meet each seasonal term to discuss a variety of aspects of school life and spend an afternoon working together on projects they feel are important to them and the school community as a whole.

What have we done so far this year?

Canterbury Cathedral-
During Septemb
er, members of Ospringe School Council visited Canterbury Cathedral and attended a 'Friends Service' along with other local schools. Throughout the day, they observed an organ demonstration, planted bulbs and wrote prayers.  See photos below.

During the first term, the school councillors met to create a list of questions that they wanted to ask our school governors. They then asked these questions during a whole-school assembly so that the rest of their peers could learn more about governors and their role within our school. Our Key Stage 2 representatives then met to write a 'Child-friendly' overview about our governing body, to be added to our school webs
