Internet Safety

WELCOME TO OUR INTERNET SAFETY PAGE FOR PARENTS

We hope that you were able to attend one or more of our e-safety assemblies in May. The children are always very  enthusiastic and work so hard preparing their activities so are always very pleased with the number of parents and carers who come to watch. During the last assemblies the children shared how they keep safe online by singing songs and taking part in plays.

This February six of our year 5 children attended an online safety ambassadors course at Boughton School with Mrs Ralph.
They have already planned many activities including visiting all classses, designing posters to put around the school and competitions. They also took part in a recent online safety assembly that was attended by parents.
They have called themselves Digital Guardians and have already visited all Key Stage 2 classes to remind them of the Smart Rules. They are now in the process of planning visits to Key Stage 1 classes.

CEOP (The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre) delivers a multi-agency service dedicated to tackling the abuse and exploitation of children in the real and ‘e’ world.
Often it is referred to as an online 999. By clicking on the button, young people and parents can get advice on a range of issues such as viruses, hacking and dealing with bullying online.
We now have a button, like the one below, on the home page of our website.
